The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.
The American Legion was founded as a Patriotic organization for Veteran's to continue to serve their communities in support of their service to their country. Our post is active in the community with multiple Memorial Day celebration presentations with Color Guard and Rifle Squad. We lead several parades with our Color Guard. We take part in Veteran's Day celebrations with our youth in two local schools. Perhaps, most importantly, we honor our fallen comrades with military rights funerals.
Our post meets on the 1st Thursday of every month. All members and veteran's are welcome to attend. We would especially like to extend an open invitation to any Persian Gulf War Veteran's and all Iraq and Afghanistan War Veteran's from our Current War on Terror. Stop in to inquire about membership.
